Here are a few photos of a bag Molly (age 11) recently made for her friend Ashley's birthday!  (Mom did the denim sewing but Molly did the rest!  Didn't she do a great job!!   Ashley LOVED it!  :-)

 A view of the inside.  Molly chose this fabric because Ashley loves horses :-).  We used the end of a pant leg for the pocket and stitched  slender pocket for a pen.

I tried something new with this bag.  I added an oblong piece of denim to make more of a "flat bottom".  This allows the bag to hold
more and if it had reinforcement (which I didn't do this time) it would 'stand up' more.  Of course, the lining has the same bottom :-)
